After about 10 weeks, what normally happens is that the fracture line disappears and a white cloud forms around the fracture.
But because I am not-your-average-kinda-girl, there is no white cloud and the fracture line is still there. She assured me that all was fine. That foot scans do not always give a full picture of what is happening.
She also recommended me to buy a pair of shoes with really thick soles. Ones that do not bend. For good fifth metatarsal # support.
# represents "fracture" in doctor language.
Maybe the two vertical lines represent a normal bone and the horizontal lines represent the break.
I should probably leave it to the professionals to decipher their own language.
But I have to say... there is something very attractive about 25 something year-old male doctors.
*sigh*
While I still walk with a limp and at nana speed (or slower), I could not be happier. And relieved. It has been an emotional and physically challenging 10 weeks.
Now I can focus on things that I want to do. I miss dancing. And drinking at the pub/club with my friends.
I cannot wait to start all the outdoor 104 adventures like going abseiling, V8 passenger-ing and cycling around the bridges.
Here's to making new friends.
