So I opened up the curtains to my room to let the morning light in and was instantly mesmerised by the greenery outside. I was so enthralled by the moment that I could only sit and stare.
For a long time too.
Then I threw on my jumper and went outside for a walk. It was drizzling but I was so keen to walk down to the river that I was not bothered to turn back to the house.
And the walk was just what I needed.
By the time I had a full view of the river in front of me, it was pouring down with rain. But it felt so good. There is something about seeing the waters and the greenery that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. I love the experience. The freshness in the air, the sounds of the waters splashing, the solitude, the view...
I love the outdoors. Well, minus the snakes and the spiders.
Here's to finding solace.
