I have always imagined the best gifts presented in the most amazing wrapping and accompanied by heartfelt cards.
But when Rodney stood at the door of his house with a Garmin box in his hands, I could not have been more surprised or have had a wider smile on my face.
Eunice [who I found out later] was the mastermind behind the gift. Incredible. Forget the wishy washy christmas themed gift wrappers. Just giveth the gift that keeps on giving!
The GPS technology [in truth] was made for a girl. It was specially designed for her. Her who gets lost in her own backyard. Who screams in frustration when she has been on the road for over an hour and has a printed road map with her. Who has now succumed to high chances of losing her way when she is out venturing to new places and has taken it on as part of the adventure.
If you have not got it yet, I was talking about me.
Really, I know. I do not come across as someone who would be so directionally challenged right?
Right.
So now I am well equipped for my travels thanks to Eunice and Rodney. Note that I have been meaning to buy myself a Garmin but that, lads and ladettes, requires a blog of its own.
Here's to finding my way.
