26 Jan to 12 Feb

Last year, I could only plan in a week's break to see my family back in B-town. It almost did not happen had it not been for the special November air tickets sales that the travel agents were running.

But this year, I am splurging. I know, it almost sounds like an impulsive spend. Dare I not think about the possibilities from here on forth!

As soon as we, my Perthian siblings and I, land in our homeland, we will catch another flight across the border to go on a cruise. This is in celebration of my mom's 60th and our first family outing since I was in... form 2? How long ago was secondary school?

Allow me to recollect. I remember celebrating my 17th birthday with my housemate over a cigarette (long story) at pre-U. So I would have been 16 when I finished secondary school. We will just say form 2 was a definite 10 plus years ago.

Oh, I finally purchased my first capo. It has taken me a couple of months to decide and a few guitar shop visits but I got myself a basic, yet purposeful $12 capo from Guitar World in Cannington.

Same place I got my guitar. And one of my guitar strings fixed. The customer service does not beam outrightly but when they serve you, you know they know what they are talking about and they have got this genuinity about them.

I digress.

Three countries, two weeks and about 600 people (or so it seems) to meet.

Here's to my first real holiday in a loooong time.
