Confidence, I believe, is built on love.
It is in loving yourself that you are able to grasp the idea of loving others. To stand up in the name of love [insert silly chuckle here].
I have been reading a book given to me by my friend Kate for my birthday. It is written by Lynda Field and the book is called "Weekend Love Coach - How to get the love you want in 48 hours" which helps in building self-esteem, being a "love magnet" and dancing to your own tune. One of my favourite lines from the book, which happens to be a quote by Judy Garland, is:
"Always be a first-rated version of yourself, instead of a second-rated version of somebody else"
And the book has been a real inspiration to me. So much so that I am planning a girl's retreat for the next long weekend. We will head somewhere out of Perth, not too far but far enough to be away from the city life. There will be lots of pampering, sharing, reading and relaxing. Oh, and wine.
So if anyone is interested [single or not], let me know and I will get in contact with you.
Here's to Kay for the fabulous 104 idea.
