Admittedly, they [the shoes and bag] gave a pretty awesome finishing touch to my chic get-up of a white singlet top and 70s waist high black skirt. And selected accessories of course.
I went, all dressed up, to try out a cafe which has been recommended for its atmosphere and food [coffee included]. With the company of a friend whom I find intriguingly intelligent and easy going, I went in and what caught my eyes first were the red brick walls.
There is just something about red brick walls and how it brings a place to life.
Worn out hard case suitcases were stacked up against one side of the wall and were also hung from the ceiling with three old skool tungsten light bulbs on the other side of the room.
We sat at a narrow wooden table positioned in the center of the room. A room which had all the right ingredients to making a warm summer afternoon cozy and relaxed.
I felt as if I was in a time warp, watching people go in and out as we sat there glued to our seats... content with our conversation. We stayed there until the cafe closed for the day.
While I would not call it my cafe just yet, it certainly made my afternoon a memorable one.
Here's to the attic in fremantle.
Sounds intriguing!
ReplyDeleteIt sure was.
ReplyDeleteWe should catch up for coffee again one of these days.
Maybe even try out a new cafe!
